Job Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations for both the Philippine and Canadian offices. This role will involve financial planning, cash flow management, and investment planning to support the company’s growth. The Finance Officer will report to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) for the Canadian office and the VP of Finance and Administration for the Philippine office.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Track actual expenses against budgeted amounts and provide variance analysis.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely collection of payments.

Payroll & Tax Compliance

  • Assist in payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely salary disbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax.
  • Prepare tax filings and coordinate with tax authorities when necessary.

Banking & Cash Flow Management

  • Monitor company bank accounts and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow to ensure the company meets its financial obligations.
  • Process fund transfers and banking transactions as required.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial insights on cost control, revenue optimization, and profitability.
  • Assist in evaluating financial implications of business initiatives and expansion plans.

Investment Planning & Financial Growth

  • Assist in developing investment strategies for business growth.
  • Conduct financial research and provide recommendations for investment opportunities.
  • Support management in financial planning and risk assessment.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
●    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
●    Must be a Certified Public Accountant
●    Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
●    Experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance is preferred.

Technical Skills
●    Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
●    Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
●    Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).

Soft Skills & Competencies
●    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
●    High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
●    Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
●    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
●    High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.

Work Schedule:

4:00 AM to 3:00 PM


Salary Range:

₱30,000.00  ₱35,000.00
